- IF I had been the enlisted member of the board, I would have argued for a much longer sentence AND confinement at hard labor. But 20 years is a long time, and 20 years in some military confinement facilities is long, indeed. The man threw @!$%# on our honor.

- I joined the Air Force in 1973, TIs back then were rough, and there was some sexual innuendo when they discussed female members... it was a different time and a different world.

- I wouldn't begrudge any patriot the right to fight, but it's a lot harder on the body than those who've never "been there and done that" might think. There is more than sufficient data out there to suggest that women CAN perform well in combat, and indeed, many already have.

- I can understand the idea that more women in the Secret Service is a good thing. I was around for the period in the military when more women were recruited to make up a larger share of the US military contingent, and I am proud to say that I served with those women.

- OK. Train to Las Vegas sounds good, but WHY Victorville or anywhere else just to Vegas. You can now take AMTRAK from Los Angeles Union Station to Kingman, AZ... and you can now take AMTRAK West TO Kingman AZ. But at that point, going to Las Vegas, you take the bus.

- This man took the same oath of enlistment that I did, and is honor-bound to follow that oath. Apparently his honor is conditional. If he cannot honor his oath of enlistment, he has but one option. LEAVE THE MILITARY SERVICE. I don't want a half-hearted soldier to have my back.
